30A is a scenic highway down Florida's panhandle that stretches about 20 miles long and is famous for its small beach towns and white sugar sand beaches! Surrounded by state parks and coastal dune lakes, there is so much to do here and I'm excited to give you some fan and local favorite ideas.
#1 Visit the Beach -First things first...especially if you've never experienced the Gulf Coast of Florida, you can't go wrong during anytime of year sitting back and admiring our beautiful aqua ocean water! Lay out a towel, some chairs or grab you a boogie board and go catch some waves! Paddle boarding is my favorite but make sure the water is calm before you go. Btw, you can never go wrong with packing a Pub Sub in your ice chest for lunch ;)
#2 Explore the Nature Walks/Trails - 30A has many state park trails for you to walk or bike through! There's also a lot of rare coastal dune lakes for you to explore, Western Lake and Eastern Lake are some beautiful choices. Take the doggies and kiddos on a family walk and stop for a bite of ice cream at any of our local ice cream shops that all surround the area! Blue Mountain Beach Creamery is a fun, yummy spot.
#3 Experience all the Small Beach Towns -Explore the different designs and vibes of all of our famous beach towns! Such as Grayton, Blue Mountain, Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary, Alys, Seagrove and more! Every small town has its own different feel/vibe to it with many things to do within such as shopping, dining, crafting and live music. You definitely won't get bored with all the different styles and themes going on, you're sure to find your perfect fit of an area, plus more!!
#4 Stay in a Beautiful Rental - A lot of peoples favorite thing about coming down is finding their ideal beach house! Whether that be walking distance to the beach, a home that can fit your whole family up to 20 guest, having a private pool in your backyard, or having a golf cart... you're sure to find your exact needs along 30A and not be disappointed! Airbnb and VRBO are great options to shop around for rentals and find your slice of paradise.
These are just a few of the things to do along 30A in Santa Rosa Beach! In my opinion these are the "must do" bucket list items when you come into town. I hope you enjoy your visit and fall in love with the area just as I did. Have a fun trip!!
