Miramar Beach's Fall Calendar Runs on Two Clocks Until December 1

October 22, 2026

The fireworks over the Village of Baytowne Wharf go up at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the end of a two-hour Trick or Treat Street on the Village streets. Eleven hours earlier, up on US 98, the Grand Boulevard Farmers' Market will have opened at 9 a.m. at 600 Grand Boulevard. Same day, same neighborhood, and the two events barely overlap.

That pattern holds for the next six weeks. Miramar Beach has two walkable centers, and from now until Dec. 1 they keep almost opposite hours. Baytowne Wharf, inside Sandestin, runs the evening and family program. Grand Boulevard, on US 98, runs the Saturday-morning routine and puts on the one big community night of the season. The weekend before Thanksgiving is the one stretch where each center has a big event on back-to-back days. Then on Dec. 1 both switch to holiday mode on the same day.

The storm week, and where things stand

Hurricane Isaias came ashore on Oct. 9. The Destin Log photographed the Scenic Gulf Drive Regional Beach Access 56 in Miramar Beach three days later. The paper also reported that Pompano Joe's was open for business by Oct. 12.

Sandestin's Storm Center said the resort was open and operational and would take new arrivals again starting Tuesday, Oct. 13. Its operations table, updated Oct. 15, showed the Beach House Restaurant, Marina Bar & Grill, Burnt Pine, Sweetbay Coffee and Ovide at Hotel Effie open. Tennis was limited to seven courts, and the pickleball courts were set to reopen Oct. 16. The same table had the Baytowne Carousel closed.

Grand Boulevard posted its Hometown Holiday Parade page on Oct. 16, after the storm. Like every page on its calendar, it says events are weather permitting and subject to change. The organizers of the 30A BBQ Festival updated their event post on SoWal on Oct. 15 and said tickets were on sale. The calendars below match what each venue had published as of this week. A quick look at the venue's own page before you head out is the safest plan.

Baytowne holds the evenings through Halloween

Baytowne's free Wednesday Night Concert Series plays its last show of the fall on Oct. 28, when Forrest Williams takes the Events Plaza Stage from 7 to 9 p.m. After that, the schedule moves to Halloween weekend:

  • Friday, Oct. 30: Hocus Pocus on the big screen at the Events Plaza. Seating opens at 6:30 p.m., the movie starts at 7, and admission is free. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.
  • Saturday, Oct. 31: Trick or Treat Street runs from 6 to 8 p.m. through the Village, with merchants handing out treats, a DJ on the main stage and fireworks at 8. It's also free.

Every one of these starts at 6 p.m. or later, and that's typical of Baytowne's fall calendar. Its events fill the hours after the Grand Boulevard market has closed.

Grand Boulevard holds Saturday mornings and two Fridays

The Grand Boulevard Farmers' Market runs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The listed dates are Oct. 24 and 31 and Nov. 7, 14, 21 and 28. That makes six straight Saturdays, Halloween and Thanksgiving weekend included. Nothing else on either calendar comes back that often between now and December.

Grand Boulevard's evening events are less frequent but draw bigger crowds. The center has a lot to work with. Its directory lists 16 restaurants and 39 retail entries, including Another Broken Egg Café, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Grimaldi's Coal Brick-Oven Pizza, Cantina Laredo Modern Mexican, Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar, Vin'tij Food & Wine and The Craft Bar.

The 30A BBQ Festival, Friday, Nov. 6, 5:30 to 8 p.m. It takes place on the North Lawn, and admission includes barbecue samples. The festival is presented by 360 Blue and goes on rain or shine. Pitmasters from along the Emerald Coast compete for "30A's Best BBQ," and guests vote for the winner. River Dan plays live music, and there's a photo booth and a silent auction. Grayton Beer Company pours the craft beer. Proceeds go to The Sonder Project, a nonprofit founded in Santa Rosa Beach in 2015. Sandestin lists Baytowne's Tribute Weekend for Nov. 6 and 7, so the barbecue night shares its date with an event down the road.

The Hometown Holiday Parade, Friday, Nov. 20, 5 to 7 p.m. This is Grand Boulevard's kickoff to the season. The event page promises local high school bands, local sports and dance teams, the Emerald Coast Theatre Company and special guests. It also tells guests to "come early for dinner, shopping, and a great parking spot." Last year's version unveiled thousands of white lights during the parade, followed by Santa photos, carriage rides and hot chocolate. That was the 2025 lineup, and the 2026 page doesn't promise the same extras.

Three days in a row, Nov. 20 to 22

For most of the fall, the two centers trade off. Nov. 6 puts the barbecue night and Tribute Weekend on the same date, but the weekend before Thanksgiving is the one that gives each center a big event on back-to-back days.

Day Grand Boulevard Baytowne Wharf and Sandestin
Fri., Nov. 20 Hometown Holiday Parade, 5 to 7 p.m.
Sat., Nov. 21 Farmers' Market, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 14th Annual Sparkling Wine & Holiday Lights, 4 to 6 p.m.
Sun., Nov. 22 Sandestin Turkey Trot, Baytowne Marina, 7 to 11 a.m.

Saturday is the one day both centers run at full speed, and they still don't collide. The market is done by 1 p.m., and Sparkling Wine & Holiday Lights starts at 4. This one is ticketed, unlike most of Baytowne's fall events. It features more than 30 champagnes, appetizers at Village restaurants and carolers, and it ends with Baytowne's choreographed light show, Nights of Lights. When this was written, Baytowne listed tickets as "on sale SOON." On Sunday, the Turkey Trot sends runners out from the marina early in the morning.

Thanksgiving weekend, then Dec. 1 for both

After Thanksgiving, Baytowne's evenings switch over to the season. Sandestin lists a Polar Express Movie Night on Friday, Nov. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Here Comes Santa Claus on Saturday, Nov. 28, also 6 to 8 p.m. Grand Boulevard holds its last November farmers' market that same Saturday morning.

Three days later, both centers start their holiday programs on the same date. Baytowne's December calendar lists Nights of Lights every night from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31, with free shows at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. on the Village tree and the Events Plaza Lawn. Grand Boulevard's next holiday listing after the parade is Holiday Entertainment on The Boulevard, which also starts Dec. 1.

What's new on the Boulevard, and what's still coming

The Saturday walk past the market tents runs by storefronts that weren't there a year ago. Perla Baking Co., a bakery and café, was announced as open on March 26, 2026. Warby Parker opened its first Northwest Florida store at 585 Grand Blvd. on April 18.

Two more are on the way:

  1. Rowan, a nurse-led ear-piercing studio, is taking a 534-square-foot space in Suite L106 at 585 Grand Blvd. Its directory listing reads "Coming Soon – Dec 1." If that date holds, Rowan opens the same day the holiday programs begin.
  2. Shades Bar & Grill was announced in 2025 with a late-summer 2026 target. The restaurant's own site still says "COMING SOON" to Grand Boulevard in 2026. It's already listed in the Grand Boulevard directory among the dining names.

Through Thanksgiving, then, Baytowne's evenings and Grand Boulevard's Saturday mornings carry the fall calendar, and the Nov. 20 to 22 weekend is the one time both are busy back to back. On Dec. 1, Nights of Lights, Holiday Entertainment on The Boulevard and, if its date holds, Rowan's opening all begin.
